Kennington logoPlans for the BMX Track on Forest Side has been given the go-ahead with a grant of £11,390 from Waste Recycling Environmental Limited (WREN). Construction begins in October and will take around six weeks to complete.

In agreement with the Vale, the new Simpson’s Way development will continue the existing numbering rather than being given a new road name.

The Parish Council considered its Library Consultation response, and has decided to submit a letter supporting the request by the Friends Group to change the Kennington Library’s banding, along with some concerns about the methodology used.

Motorcycles have been used on the Water Meadows. The police are aware of this misuse, and will impound any vehicles untaxed or uninsured.

The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) and the Oxford Conservation Volunteers (OCV) will start work early next year to tidy the Kennington Pool site. They will create a suitable habitat for an otter holt.
