You are summoned to attend a meeting of the Parish Council which will take place on Thursday 9 May at 7.30 pm in Committee Rooms 2/3 of Kennington Village Centre.

  1. To elect the Chairman and sign the declaration of acceptance of office
  2. To elect the Vice-Chairman
  3. To receive apologies for absence
  4. To agree a date to sign the acceptance of office forms, if necessary
  5. Items raised by members of the public
  6. To receive declarations of Personal or Personal and Prejudicial Interests1
  7. To approve and sign minutes of the meeting held on 11 April 2019  
  8. To make appointments to Committees and Outside Bodies and signatories for cheques (See attached list)
  9. To discuss the Clerk’s report (Appendix 1)
  10. To discuss correspondence received and any requests for grant aid (Appendix 2)
  11. To approve the Financial Report and accounts for payment (Appendix 3) and the Accounting statements for 2018/19 (Section 2 of the Annual Return) (attached)


12. To note the minutes of the Planning Committee meeting held on 23rd April 2019 (attached)

13. To note the issues raised by residents at the Annual Parish Meeting on 24th April 2019

14. To have reviewed and agree Terms of Reference together with delegated authorities of the Planning, Playing Fields, Personnel and Finance Committees together with general terms for committees and working parties

15. To have reviewed and agree the following policies – tree; public participation; grants requests; social media; equality and diversity; acceptable use of ICT; complaints procedure and website protocol

16. To have reviewed and agree Aims and Objectives and Risk Assessment Statement

17. To have reviewed and agree Standing Orders and Financial Regulations

18. To confirm that the council meets the eligibility criteria for the General Power of Competence and to agree whether to adopt this power

19. To review asset register and confirm the arrangements for insurance

20. To agree the list of meetings up to and including the next annual meeting of the council

21. To agree whether to purchase additional dog bag dispensers and bags

22. To receive reports of members on outside bodies
