The Main Hall is 50 foot by 34 foot and we have seating for 150 for receptions and conferences. There is a County standard Badminton court marked out. There is also a stage with full curtains. We have seating for 200 for stage productions.
Our kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, catering size oven, kettles, saucepans, hot water urn and china and cutlery for 150 persons (the china is all matching).
We hold Performing Rights, Public Entertainment and Theatre Licences.
Our Hall is used regularly for badminton, Women’s Institute, SlimFit, Pilates classes, Baby & Toddler Group, dance classes, drama group and the Parish Council hold their monthly meetings here. Our casual bookings include coffee mornings, jumble sales, cake sales, and band practice for up and coming music groups.
Charges for the hire of the hall
We have three different rates of charges:
- Village Organisations – These receive a small discount
- Village Users – This is the basic rate
- Outside Users – This is basic rate plus 25%
Our charges are per the hour and range from £13 up to £25.00 for the Main Hall.
Committee rooms range from £7 to £8 per hour.
For parties and discos we have special rates which can be obtained from the Secretary.
The Management Committee
The Management Committee is made up of representatives of local Village Organisations who appoint one member to represent them for one year (April 1st through to March 31st the following year). At the 2006 AGM our constitution was amended (with the approval of the Charity Commission) to increase the number of places open to members of the public from 2 to 4, and these have all been filled. There are 10 voting members on the committee.

Our Committee meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month (except August), in one of the small Committee Rooms in the Village Hall.
