Parish Council elections are usually held in May, together with a County or a District election. All members of the Parish Council have to either be re-elected or stand down every four years. The last parish council elections took place in May 2019.

There is a vacancy on Kennington Parish Council for a councillor to serve until the next elections in May 2023. The vacancy will be filled by co-option at the Parish Council meeting on 9 June 2022.
If you are: Aged 18 or over, on the electoral roll, citizen of UK, Commonwealth, EU or Ireland and resident in or within 3 miles of the parish or own land or work in the parish (for at least 12 months) you are eligible to be co-opted.
If you are:
Able to attend regular evening meetings
Interested in local issues, preferably not just a single issue
And have:
An understanding and willingness to represent the views of the whole community
An interest in being an effective councillor
