Information from Highways England:
A34 Oxford Resurfacing
We’ll shortly be carrying out work to resurface a section of the A34 southbound carriageway, starting north of the A420 Botley Interchange heading south towards South Hinksey. This work will improve the condition of the road and improve journeys for our customers.
Work is currently scheduled to take place between Monday 7 June and Friday 2 July 2021.
For the safety of our workforce and customers, we will be closing the A34 southbound carriageway from the A44 Peartree Interchange to the A423 Hinksey Hill junction overnight from 9pm to 6am (Monday to Friday only) when there are fewer vehicles on the road.
During the closure, a signed diversion route will be in place via the Oxford ring-road.
Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles on blue light calls. All drivers will also need to adhere to the reduced site speed limits when passing plant and/or our workforce.
Please note that these works are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. We’ll advertise the closures on yellow signs placed in advance alongside the road, and on our South-East Twitter page (@HighwaysSEAST)
I would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption you may experience during this work.
