Yesterday’s flood warning for the River Thames and tributaries at Sandford and Radley have now been removed. The warning was issued based on a river level gauge that was faulty and returning incorrect data. The Environment Agency observed the river level was lower than the data reported and has now repaired the faulty gauge.
It’s worth noting however that river levels remain high and some flood alerts are still in place. You can stay up to date with the latest news on the Environment Agency’s website.
Information and advice on flood prevention is available on the county council’s flood toolkit website.
