Last month on the 20th of April we had a fascinating talk by Chris Butterworth of the Oxford Bus Museum at Long Hanborough. He gave an account from its slight beginnings, its development over time, and the point where he really got involved. This was when it was investigated by the Charity Commission because individuals were have private work done on the site! With a legal background he was able to sort all that out. Today the Museum is thriving with modern buildings and a large collection of buses and coaches dating back to the first world war. The Society will be making a visit there in July.
In May Victoria Bedrata will be giving a talk on the history of medicine in Oxford.
