At the time of writing we are looking forward to one of David Holt’s talks. This one is entitled “Uncut Van Gogh” on the 16th of November. His previous talks including one on Babbage and his calculating machines have always been excellent, and I am sure this one will be no different.
In October we were treated to a most detailed history of the Abingdon branch line, widely known as “the bunk”, with many previously little seen photographs and maps etc. It was as usual well received.
Currently we are drawing up a list of speakers and talks for 2106, which will be finalised by the end of November. Current candidates include Oxfordshire’s military heritage, genealogy and the Wilts and Berks canal. All of course are subject to confirmation of the availability of speakers etc. Watch this space.
