Neighbourhood Policing Update April 2017

Here is your latest neighbourhood update from PCSO Zack Earl.
Criminal damage in Radley
In the early hours of the morning on the 10/04 ten cars had either their back or side windows smashed on Thupp Lane, Radley. If you saw anything suspicious please contact 101 with ref number 43170103621.

‘Spring’ into action and secure your home
Now the fine weather is here please think about security on your home for this time of year. Help us keep crime down and make life harder for criminals by following our crime reduction advice:

  • Cut back your shrubs and hedges to aid visibility.
  • Secure access to the back garden. Are your gates and fences maintained?
  • Consider a time switch for your radio and lights.
  • Service/maintain your burglar alarm.
  • Keep gardening tools locked away.
  • Ensure sheds and garages are fully secured.

Community events
If you would like to attend a local fete or community event to offer crime reduction advice please email me at to discuss further.

Considerate parking
We have had reports about people parking on grass verges outside residents’ houses in Kennington and ruining the verges. These verges are council owned so we cannot stop people from parking on them. However, please try to be considerate when parking here as these verges are directly outside peoples’ houses.
