New Parish Councillors

The parish council would like to welcome its three new members, who were co-opted at the meeting on 13th June. The new councillors are Bill Russell, Scott Powles and Alison New, and it is hoped that they will enjoy their time on the parish council. Many thanks to all the candidates who took the time to put their name forward to be considered, and the council hopes they will come forward again in the future.

Flowers around the Village

Thank you very much to all the volunteers who have helped with the village flower baskets again this year. Thanks also to the members of the Horticultural Society for planting the new flowers at the war memorial.

Changes have been made to the website (www.kennington-pc.gov.uk) to streamline the site and delete out-of-date content. If you have any photos of the village that you would be happy for the council to use on the website, please email these to me at .

Dog Bag Dispensers

Three additional dog bag dispensers have been purchased for the village, which will be installed in the coming weeks to try and tackle the persistent dog fouling problem. These bags are provided for emergencies. If you witness someone failing to clean up after their dog, make a note of anything that might help identify them and report to

Grants

The parish council has awarded a grant of £82.19 to the Apple Café, which will go towards the cost of a new panini press.
