Parish News – April 2019

Do You Know Where the Defibrillators Are in Kennington?

There are four defibrillators located in Kennington:

  • on Playfield Road (outside the launderette),
  • on Meadow View Road (off Poplar Grove),
  • outside the Village Centre
  • outside Kirlena House (on Kennington Road). If you need to use one of these units:

There is currently a petition with government for defibrillators to be provided in all public places, called the Defibrillator (Availability) Bill.

The parish council recently held a defibrillator training session, which was very useful. To book on the next workshop, please call or email me.

Parish Councillors Wanted

If you care about where you live and are passionate about your community, we need you. The parish council is seeking councillors from a variety of backgrounds – no special skills are required but enthusiasm and commitment are essential. If you would like to find out more, visit the Elections page on the website or contact the clerk.

Purple Crocuses

Thanks to the Horticultural Society for the beautiful purple crocuses throughout the village in collaboration with The Rotary Club of Isis, to protect children and rid the world of polio.

Annual Parish Meeting

Finally, the Council hopes to see you at this year’s Annual Parish meeting on Wednesday 24 April at 7:30pm. We are pleased to welcome an officer from the Emergency Planning Team as well as representatives from several village organisations.
