You may or may not be aware that the post box collections have been reduced recently to once a day, with the Royal Mail stating that during the week the daily collection will not be before 9am and not before 7am on Saturday.
The following post boxes will also have a second delivery:
- Hinksey Hill at 4:45pm
- Little London (Bagley Wood Road) at 5:15pm
- Longwall Street at 5:30pm
- Manor Road near Lincombe Lane at 4:45pm
- Wootton Ridge Boars Hill at 4pm
- Oriel Square at 5:15pm
The village post office will continue to have collections at 12 mid-day and 5:15pm with the post-box outside the post office having a collection at 5:30pm.

It was agreed at the last Council meeting that a litter bin would be installed near Forest Side pavilion on the playing field, in an attempt to reduce the amount of litter found in this area constantly.
Also at this meeting the Council resolved to continue to support Kennington4trade as it has been by using Fairtrade products at all Council events, but also to support Fairtrade in future years by paying for the village hall charges for one of Fairtrade’s annual events.
The Parish Council considered a grant request at its October meeting from Oxfordshire Association for the Blind which was awarded £200.
