Parish News – October 2018

Defibrillator Training

Thank you to those who have expressed an interest in learning how to use the defibrillators in the village. The council would like to invite all residents to attend a free workshop, which could save someone’s life. Please contact me on 01865 421126 or email to add your name to the list – dates will be published as soon as possible.

Remembrance Day

The council would like to invite you to join our Remembrance Day parade on Sunday 11th November. Please assemble by the War Memorial by 10.45am for a short service, which is continued afterwards in St Swithun’s Church. This year commemorates 100 years since the end of World War One.

Contact Thames Valley Police Online

Thames Valley Police can now be contacted at www.thamesvalley.police.uk/contact/contact-us/ to report incidents, or you can continue to call 101. If there is an emergency or the crime is in progress, please call 999.

Public Consultations

The council will be holding two public consultations to find out the village’s views on the refurbishment of the war memorial and the proposed rebuild of Playfield Road pavilion. Please look out for details in the Chronicle and on Kennington Connected, as we would really like to hear your views.
