The council hopes you will join them for the Act of Remembrance this coming Sunday – please assemble at the War Memorial by 10.45am.
You will find there is a copy of the new Order of Service in the middle of November’s Kennington Chronicle – it is hoped that residents will bring it with them when they join us this coming Sunday morning. Please note that the Order of Service in the middle of the Chronicle is slighty incorrect, in as much as the “Last Post” will be played just before the two minute silence and not before the Exhortation as stated. There is a copy of the corrected Service below.
The Village Centre will be open for those in the Parade to meet – with teas and coffees as usual available before the Parade.
A warm invitation is extended to everyone to join Apple Café in the Church Hall for a free cup of coffee/tea and piece of cake after the Remembrance Parade and Service. Many thanks go to Apple Café for arranging this.
There will also be a display telling you more of those servicemen that will be commemorated at the service in the Church Hall.
