On 2 February kerbing and footway resurfacing will commence under traffic lights between Sandford Lane and St Swithun’s Road.
The following week, starting 9 February the road will be closed between Sandford Lane and Simpsons Way for 5 days to resurface the carriageway.
A signed diversion route will be in place. Gatemen will be positioned at either end of the closed road to redirect traffic.
Although access for residents and businesses will be maintained, there may be long delays during the working day. Residents who wish to use the footway but are unable to due to the road works should contact Stuart Priest or Allan Sibley on 0845 310 000 who will arrange for a pedestrian marshal to escort them safely through the works. Please contact Stuart or Allan if you have any specific requirements regarding access.
The footway surfacing works will continue for a further 3 weeks (16 February to 6 March) using traffic lights.
