With the summer holidays just around the corner, we are now actively promoting our 2017 Thames Valley Police Open Day on Saturday 5 August. Hosted at our Police Training Centre in Sulhamstead (near Reading), the event promises to be even bigger and better than before.
For the first time visitors can become Crime Scene Investigators, solving clues to reveal how Mr Money Bags met his unfortunate demise. Our force helicopter will be on display and the live arena will be jammed packed with demonstrations featuring our police dogs and mounted horse section. As this year’s theme is focussed on ‘Children and Young People’, we are supporting SAFE, a charity that helps people aged between 8 and 25 who have been affected by crime within Thames Valley. Check out our 2016 Open Day video which provides a real flavour of the day.
Unfortunately we cannot allow dogs into the event (except for assistance dogs), so residents should be advised to leave their dogs at home.
