There are vacancies on Kennington Parish Council for five Councillors to serve for four years until May 2019, as there were insufficient nominations for the May elections. The five vacancies will be filled by co-option at the next Parish Council meeting on 11 June 2015.

 

If you are: Aged 18 or over, on the electoral roll, citizen of UK, Commonwealth, EU or Ireland and resident in or within 3 miles of the parish or own land or work in the parish (for at least 12 months) you are eligible to be co-opted.

 

If you are:

  • able to attend regular evening meetings
  • interested in local issues, preferably not just a single issue

And have:

  • an understanding and willingnness to represent the views of the whole community
  • an interest in being an effective Councillor

If you are interested in joining the Parish Council, you should apply in writing by 10 June 2015. In your application, please provide background information on yourself and the reason you would like to serve on the Parish Council.

Please note the post of Parish Councillor is voluntary, with only expenses paid when necessary.
